Scale Companies Announce Recall

BENTONVILLE, AR - Some Walmart stores in Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio, are recalling Sunbeam and Healthometer brand scales on Monday, saying they are all inaccurately weighing people fifteen pounds less than they really are.

A Walmart spokeswoman, Deloris Marshall, told a West Virginia television station that as a precaution customers should stop using the scales and contact the warranty information on the back of them immediately.  ”We wouldn’t want anyone to continue thinking they were skinnier than they actually were,” she was noted as saying.
